Wired’s March edition mentions a new music appalled BioBeats that identifies your pulse as a way to suggest music that matches your mood. The team behind the app have experience developing apps for the NHS so they are aware that pulse can mean more than one thing so are also looking at connections to your social media. I think they have some challenges will enabling the app to consistently and correctly identify your mood. I would consider the choices I make about the mood of music I would choose quite hard to predict other than simply asking me. So for me, a music playing app that allowed me to browse by genre would be a great place to start. All Melody Pods music is served up and organised by genre so for people running their own businesses it’s a simple and quick way to serve up the right style of music to match the mood you aim to present to your customers minute by minute during the working day.
